Connecting all our locations and all our staff is the next generation PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System), IMPAXTM 6.2TM, the RIS (Radiology Information System), the CR (Computed Radiography) systems and InitiateTM MPI.
The introduction of these systems means that no matter what type of image – or where in the country it is captured – it can be instantly accessed and interpreted by one of our expert Radiologists.
The pre-implementation works are well under way in a number of hospitals, with the PACS rollout to follow, providing Nuffield Diagnostics with a nationally-networked cutting-edge digital imaging and data-management platform.
The benefits to patient care and improvement in service pathways will be profound. All scans can be reported on quickly which will mean a faster, more convenient service – and one that reduces our carbon footprint.
The technology also allows Nuffield Diagnostics to develop groups of Radiologists with specialist expertise to report on specific conditions. Which means that the best people report quickly on the most appropriate scans.
