Nuffield Hospitals was established as a not-for-profit organisation and a registered charity in 1957 and has been providing high quality healthcare services to local communities ever since. In 2005 and 2006, we treated more than 108,000 NHS referred patients.
In September 2006, in recognition of the innovative work that Nuffield Hospitals has carried out to ensure we can treat an increased number of NHS referred patients, we were named as the best independent UK healthcare provider in the Laing & Buisson Independent Healthcare Awards.
In December 2006, we became the first independent sector healthcare provider to go live on the NHS Choose and Book system.
